Grilla Grills Kong is a ceramic kamado grill made of heavy-duty ceramic for grilling, smoking, baking, and roasting. The Kong uses lump charcoal for excellent flavor, something that your average gas grill can’t touch. The ancient design of kamado grills goes back at least 3,000 years. These grills, also sometimes referred to as “egg smokers” due to their shape, are able to retain heat and moisture for extended cooking. The Kong does an amazing job with grilled pizza, as the ceramic dome absorbs and radiates heat much like a professional pizza oven while reaching temperatures as high as 700 degrees. This ceramic kamado grill can do much more than pizza, however, it’s ideal for just about any BBQ meal as it does an excellent job of maintaining temperature and retaining moisture in your food. The grill includes a dome temperature gauge, adjustable vent, EZ glide wheels, a sure-latch lid and stainless-steel cooking grates. The attached, twin work surfaces fold down for easy storage.

Heat Technology

The Kong is built to reach high temperatures but can also maintain temps for a low and slow cook. The calibrated cast aluminum damper at the top along with the stainless-steel adjustable slide plate at the base control airflow and provide precise grilling temperatures for amazing results. The Kong can reach temperatures up to 700°F, and the Kong’s exhaust is released through the calibrated cast aluminum damper at the top, which can be adjusted as needed.

Smart Construction For Better Results

Ever accidentally bump into a metal or steel grill? Ouch! One of the beautiful things about the Kong’s ceramic construction is that the ceramic surface stays cooler than standard grills. The high-temperature glossy black exterior finish is also designed to withstand the elements. While the Kong, like all kamado grills, is heavy, the heavy-duty swivel casters and wheels make it easy to move. Two locking brakes keep it steady when you decide on where you want your Kong. Additional helpful features include solid bamboo handles that stay cool to the touch along with two bamboo fold-down side trays for extra space. The included easy-read dome thermometer helps you maintain accurate cooking temperatures. When you buy a Kong you won’t need any additional accessories to get setup or start cooking, as the shock-absorber plunger and stainless steel stand are included.

The ceramic firebox on the Kong uses 100% organic lump charcoal and allows you to add your favorite flavored wood pellets so you can add extra flavor to every cook if you’d like.

    You must request and receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number prior to returning merchandise. At that time, you will be advised on shipping.

    Have Confidence

    Have had the Kong for about two months and love how it maintains the temp. No issues holding in the 225-230 degrees area. Can leave for hours and not worry. Did have a warranty situation that was handled professionally, quickly and easily and all is good. Have no hesitation recommending Grilla Grills.

    Stainless Steel hardware, best wheels I have ever seen, and $500-700 left over to buy meat to cook on it!!!!! How can you go wrong?!?!

    Great ceramic grill!

    I've had my Kong for about 3 months and couldn't be happier with it. I've always owned a gas grill, and for the past 6 years cooked on a cheap barrel style charcoal grill. I made some great BBQ on that old thing, but I finally had enough of having to babysit it constantly. In addition it felt as though I was burning an entire bag of briquettes with every longer cook and a half a bag of wood chunks. I finally decided to spend more and get a quality charcoal grill. I looked at competitors and just couldn't stomach the price it would take to buy only the grill and a stand, much less any added accessories. I then read about Grilla on a blog and started researching them. I finally pulled the trigger as the price was just too good to pass up, especially delivered free to my garage. I've cooked everything from brisket for 15 hours, to steaks at 600 degrees and everything has been top notch. Once I get my temps stabilized I know that I can walk away for many hours and it will be right where left it. The size is also great, much larger than a large grill from competitors. I've added the diffuser, kick ash basket, and a few other toys and look forward to many great cooks in the future!

    Best Grill Ever!!!

    This is by far the best grill I have ever owned. If your trying to decide between a Green Egg or the KONG save the $400 and get the KONG. I have smoked a Brisket at 225 for 12hrs on just one load of lump, and grilled steaks at 650. My brother has cooked on a Green Egg for 10 years but after seeing my KONG in action he said he won't buy another Egg. Their customer service and support is the best I've ever dealt with. By the way the Heat Deflector and Kick Ash Basket are a must have.
